Robu Design was founded by best friends and design partners Kirstyn Rose and Madison Burd after meeting while earning their Bachelor's degrees in Interior Design from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. What began as a shared passion for design quickly grew into a shared vision of creating a studio together. Today, we're dedicated to designing thoughtful, personalized spaces while building meaningful relationships and making the design process seamless from start to finish. Meet Madison
Design has always been about creating spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful. I believe the best interiors reflect the people who live in them, which is why I approach every project with flexibility and a focus on my client's unique vision.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Interior Design with a minor in Marketing in 2023. During college, I was an active member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and served as the Public Relations Chair for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). After graduation, I worked as a Kitchen & Bath Designer before welcoming my daughter in 2024. Becoming a mom inspired me to pursue independent design, where I now specialize in both residential and commercial projects.
Whether your style is traditional, modern, eclectic, or somewhere in between, my goal is to create spaces that feel timeless, functional, and uniquely yours.

Design has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. From painting and redesigning my childhood bedroom to helping clients transform their homes, I’ve always been inspired by the way thoughtful design can improve everyday life. I believe every space should be both beautiful and functional while reflecting the personality and lifestyle of the people who call it home.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design in 2023 and began my career in commercial furniture design, where I gained valuable experience in planning functional spaces and understanding the importance of thoughtful design solutions. Wanting to broaden my experience, I explored several areas of the industry, including commercial, residential, furnishings, and kitchen and bath design. Along the way, I discovered that what I enjoy most isn’t one particular area of design—it’s building relationships with clients, understanding how they live, and creating spaces that truly improve their everyday lives. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a client’s vision come to life and knowing they love the space we’ve created together.
My design style continues to evolve as I grow both personally and professionally, and I appreciate the character of traditional interiors, the balance of transitional design, and the clean simplicity of modern spaces. No matter the project, my goal is to create timeless, personalized spaces that not only look beautiful but also make my clients feel truly at home.
